The departure port for Hurtigruten’s MS Polarlys is Bergen and we enjoyed the lights of the city as we left.

The first stop on the journey north is Ålesund. The night before had been a bit up and down as Storm Dennis stirred us up on the open sea passage as we left the fjord and we left the ship in the morning to grey skies and sleet. One of only a couple of poor days on our trip.

… which is famous for its rose festival, and which has this wonderful flower shop and then we left the area until our return when we saw Kristiansund …

    Nice to see your holiday pictures. The quality is always very good. The sights are great and you have a way of enhancing what you see which makes it a pleasure to look at. I feel your photography is going from strength to strength.
