To start a few posts from our recent trip to Norway, I’m including some sunrises and sunsets. Above is a sunset with some wonderful clouds above a snowy landscape.
Then below a couple of shots of one of the many bridges that span the fjords and channels which are high enough to allow the Hurtigruten ships to pass underneath them. The clouds have an interesting smudgy appearance which I took originally to be something on the lens, or sensor, until I saw the reflection!
Lovely sunrise, colours we normally associate with a sunset quite often.
Then a couple more sunrises (above and below), the sort of colours I more associate with a sunrise!
I met an Australian who told me to look away from the sunset and see what was happening behind me. I had the pleasant surprise (above); something I’ll look for more from now on.
Finally three “traditional” sunsets; the last two I think are rather special. The middle one I wish I could understand. How does a ships wake create smooth water? I’d appreciate an explanation.
