Roofing textures, St Fagans

Another shot from inside the weaving shed, this time just capturing the differences in textures in the roof beams, and the sacking screen. Something I love about photography is that I just couldn’t, and probably wouldn’t, have seen this detail without taking the picture.

As an exercise in finding and photographing textures, it succeeds, David. As a suggestion for something to hang on my living room wall, I’m afraid a picture of rotting wood fails.

  2. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I totally agree – with a camera in hand we see so much more of the world than without. At least, I find I have become much more observant since photography became my main hobby and I look at things differently even if I don’t necessarily take a picture – for whatever reason.

    1. Yes, it focuses the mind – that wasn’t meant to be funny.
