A lightning fast trip to Australia to see our son and family – once the Australian government had opened their borders and a return visit to South Wharf – the location of the first one-day workshop I’d taken part in, with Tom Putt. I thought I’d like to include a gallery of the shots I took that day; I think you can see how much Tom’s tuition on composition has become a fixture in my image creation. He also convinced me (quite easily) that taking pictures of buildings was just as valid as taking pictures of rivers and mountains, and the value of looking up – a lesson I’ve never forgotten.
