Having not had the best of weather on Walna Scar we headed for Tarn Hows, a NT site which has a lovely walk around the lake. Lots of pictures taken, but none that really stood out. The one above I quite like because I think it’s nicely framed and there are some half-decent foreground reflections (but I should have probably used a polarising filter).

Then, just as we were about to leave, thinking the sun was never going to break through the clouds, this explosion of light hit the tree – spectacular against the dark sky.
