The U3A Photography Group had arranged a photo workshop for us at Forest Farm – a conservation centre run by the Cardiff City Council Ranger Service. The day didn’t look to be starting off well as we arrived with rain and drizzle, and the usual Cardiff grey sky overhead. But after a session in the classroom we got out and took some photos near the centre and then up the river to the weir on the Taff, before returning to the centre via a hide.
After lunch I returned and walked up the old Glamorganshire Canal, beside the conservation area, and then down into the woodlands and hides that are part of Forest Farm. I would encourage you to look at the images in this Flickr album, some of the best I’ve taken for a long time …
