The last of the images from the U3A fieldtrip, and the last pair of images from Sony A7r and iPhone 6s. Again this pairing shows that you can extract far more colour from a RAW file than a JPEG one on a cloudy, overcast day. This is an image I’ve taken before, focussing on the selfie aspect and the distortion due to the water flowing down the column. This time without the water-flow you can see the buildings behind which with the curved distortion of the column gives an interesting image, I think.
The top one was taken with the Sony A7r with a 70-200mm, f4 lens at 71mm with ISO 200 @ 1/125 sec, f7.1; whilst the iPhone 6s has a 4.15mm, f2.2 lens and this image had ISO 25 with 1/900 sec, f2.2.
